how do you take your coffee/tea?
✷ AM: drip coffee with a bit of steamed oat milk
☾ PM: jasmine tea with honey
describe your style in 3 words:
earth-toned ✸ oversized ✸ ever-changing
your go-to stay-home outfit?
a @shoparq tank always! layered with a button up and men’s sweatpants (why are men’s always more cozy?)
a song/album you have on repeat:
lover’s ledge by night beds. everybody’s mother by kacy hill. i’m about to put out an EP so i’ve been playing those over + over to make sure they’re perfect!
what keeps you grounded?
i’ve kept a journal since i was a kid but for the past three months i’ve started doing morning pages - writing out two to three pages first thing in the morning which really gets out a lot of the distracting thoughts that i would mentally carry around with me otherwise
fav meal to make at home?
anything i can make a cheese plate with
what/who inspires you?
tending to the plants in my home. when it’s sunny and i get to sit in the park. when my roommate and i accidentally talk on our fire escape for hours. finally writing out feelings that i’ve had a hard time putting into words.
a current hobby, and one you’ve always wanted to try:
i would say music is sort of my hobby but since it’s also sort of “my career” i’ll say yoga. it’s been my go-to quarantine workout.
i was gifted my first pottery class pre-covid but never got a chance to go, so, when things feel safe i’d love to be able to learn to make a few ceramics.
1 little moment that brightened your day recently?
in getting to know my new neighborhood i’ve noticed a couple that lives directly across the street from us. their apartment has three windows and one night i saw the woman walk across the entire space to the corner where the man sits at his desk all day and she wrapped her arms around him while he worked. it made me feel really comforted.
what are you reading/listening to/watching?
every morning i read a mediation from Melody Beattie’s book “The Language of Letting Go” and i highly recommend it. i loved the new movie “Minari”. just finished reading “severance” by Ling Ma and i’m convinced she’s a psychic.
fav vintage item you own?
a butterfly jewelry box passed down from my grandmother, a green fisherman sweater (my favorite color) from my grandfather and a ceramic hat i just picked up from @piquant.nyc this morning actually!
